Jane Eyre ~week15~

Thank you for reading my blog this week. This is the last post in spring semester!!      I finished to read the book, The Devotion of Suspect. And I started to read new book, Jane Eyre. I introduced this book in English literature class. Actually, I didn’t know this book before I introduced. However, I came to have an interest of this. This book is very interesting for me.      I told the outline of this story, so I’m going to write a missing scene. In this story, there is the scene that Jane’s life after she left Thornfield. However, there is not the scene that how did Rochester spend his life. In the last part of the story, Rochester said “I was sitting by the window. I thought of you, Jane. I wanted you with all my body and spirit.” According to this Rochester feel extremely lonely after Jane left Thornfield. Even if he lost his arm and eyesight, he thought of her so much. He might have felt boring his life because there ...

An alternative ending

Thank you for reading my blog this week. This week, I’d like to write an alternative ending. In this story, Yukawa found the truth and what Ishigami did. However, if nobody can find the truth, what would happen? Ishigami give himself up to the police. He doesn’t talk about what Yasuko and her daughter did. Yasuko and her daughter don’t arrest and can live calmly. They might have guilt feelings. So, they give themselves up to the police and talk about everything they know after Yasuko’s daughter will be 20 years old. Ishigami lied to the police because he wanted to protect them. So, they should understand his feelings, but they should be punished. I imagined some another ending, but I’m sure the true ending is the best ending for everyone, for Yukawa, Yasuko and her daughter. Of course, for Ishigami. I enjoyed reading this book very much. I have known this story. However, I read this book in English and I found different feeling. I came to watch the movie of this sto...

THE DEVOTION OF SUSPECT ~week 13~

Thank you for reading my blog this week.            This week I’d like to introduce you to the ending of this story. Yukawa solved this case and found the truth. In fact, Yasuko’s alibi was the real deal. Yasuko and her daughter had not told a lie. Ishigami put it together so Yasuko would only have to tell the truth. Yasuko was unaware of most of what he was done. Ishigami has made a terrible sacrifice in order to protect Yasuko. He committed murder on the day after Togashi, Yasuko’s ex-husband, was killed, in order to protect Yasuko. He killed the homeless. In this way, if one man killed, no one try to search him. Actually, no one might realize it. Ishigami would kill someone else and then make the corpse look like Togashi. Detectives thought that the body of the homeless was the body of Togashi. Yasuko killed Togashi on March ninth, but Ishigami killed the homeless on March tenth. So, detectives investigated the case of March...

What I think a character should have done differently.

Thank you for reading my blog this week. This week, I’m going to write about what I think a character should have done differently. Firstly, I’d like to focus on Yasuko Hanaoka. In the beginning of the story, she killed her ex-husband. Then her neighbor, Ishigami noticed something happened and visited her room. He said he can help Yasuko, so Yasuko trusted and relied on him. However, I think this decision was wrong. She had to turn herself in to police as soon as possible. While she and her daughter were very upset, so they might have had no idea except depending on Ishigami. Secondly, I’d like to tell you about the reason why I think Yasuko should have done so. Because if Yasuko chose other decision, something may happen differently and people around her may go the different way. Ishigami may not have been criminal. In fact, we don’t know what is right or wrong though. See you in my next post.
