Thank you for reading my blog this week. Today, I’d like to write about the story of A Christmas Carol. As you know this is written by Charles Dickens. We read Oliver Twist in this spring semester, so, some of you might be interested in other novels written by Charles Dickens. I chose this book because of that reason. The main role is old man, Scrooge. He is hated by many people, because there is nothing warm or open about him. In addition, he lives a secretive, lonely life, and takes no interest in other people at all. When his nephew visits him on Christmas Eve to wish him merry Christmas, Scrooge is not all pleased. Surprisingly, he says “Christmas is humbug!” However, that Christmas Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his long-dead partner, Jacob Marley. Marley tell Scrooge that his story after he died. So, from this week I’d like to write about A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.         Before that, I try to think about the meaning of a Christmas carol. Do you guys know it? A Christmas carol is a song or hymn that has lyrics of the theme of Christmas. It is sung on Christmas or during the holiday season. Of course, A Christmas Carol is about the story related to Christmas. I searched the custom in Christmas that is popular in Europe or other area, and I found that American people usually watch the movie related to Christmas in Christmas holiday. Of course, it depends on family, but I think Japanese people don’t do this so much. It might be a difference. However, we can hear the Christmas song everywhere in Christmas season in Japan, right? Thank you for reading my blog this week. It is getting colder and colder recently. So, please be careful not to catch a cold! I started reading another book a week ago, but I’d like to write about the book, Jungle love . Also, I’m reading Mrs. Dalloway now, because I have to make a presentation about this story in the English literature class. However, this story is too difficult to read in English for me. Even in Japanese. So, I’m not sure I can share the storyline of this book. Anyway, I’m going to write about the story of Jungle love . As I wrote last week, Jenifer and Lisa are interested in the same man, Ian. There are so many things I want to write about, but it may be too long. In short, Jennifer thought Ian was entirely different to the person she had thought he was. At last, Lisa met Pete, Jennifer’s fiancé. However, Jenifer left them, and she’s gone. Then Lisa thought Pete isn’t only handsome, he’s successful. He is perfect for Lisa in every way. This is the beginning...

Thank you for reading my blog this week. I finished reading Les Miserables , and I started reading another book, Jungle love . One of my friends recommended this book for me. Today, I’d like to write about story of this book. The main roles are two women, Jenifer and Lisa. They are joining the tour, and meeting each other. However, Lisa started complaining, “Six happy couple and you and me. It isn’t fair; you should be a man.” The tour is continuing. In addition, they are interested in one man, Ian. He broke up with girlfriend during this tour. Ian seems interested in Jenifer rather than Lisa, but Jenifer has a fiancé. It is really complicated. They knew they are interested in the same man each other. What are they going to do? If you fall in love with a person that your friend loves, what will you do? Giving up? Don’t care? Some people might experience the situation like this. Have you ever experienced? Please share your opinion if you like!

Thank you for reading my blog this week. I’d like to write about story of Les Miserables. Marius and Cosette fell in love each other. However, Cosette had to go to England suddenly. They must have break up. After the revolution, they met again, and got married. When the day of their wedding, they heard Jean Valjean was in a religious house and went to there together. Marius and Cosette rushed to Valjean’s side. Jean Valjean was happy to be reunited with his adopted daughter and he passed away in peace. This ending scene is one of my favorite scenes. I could understand that Jean Valjean really loved his adopted daughter, Cossette. Of course, I think Cosette also loved him. They could overcome many things and became real family. After that, He died in peace. Is this the happiest end of his life, isn’t it? So, I like this scene. See you in my next post.

Thank you for reading my blog this week. Finally, we started new semester!! Did you guys enjoy your summer vacation? The classes will be hard, but DO OUR BEST! I started reading new book, Les Miserables. However, it was edited version and quite short. So, I finished reading and I’m reading the other book. Today, I’d like to talk about the story of this book. The main role is Jean Valjean. He is released from the prison after staying nineteen years of stealing a loaf of bread and escaping from the prison. He has no money and job, but he meets one man, Myriel. Valjean promises to become an honest man. The other character is Fantine, a young woman. she has a daughter, Cosette. Fantine doesn’t have a husband, so she has to work very hard for her daughter. As a result, she died. Then Valjean thinks he must fulfill her last wish that help her daughter Cosette. He and Cosette start living together. Cosette grows into beautiful woman. She falls in love with Marius, a young lawyer....

I appreciated you guys’ reply to my every post.      Today, I’d like to write about “Animal Farm” too. From the beginning, all animals believed pig, Napoleon and Snowball are the smartest and they are suitable to dominate. But Snowball got rid of Animal farm. So, other animals followed Napoleon. Before long, Napoleon lived in house and he eats food more than other animals eat. They started to think he breaks THE SEVEN COMMANDMENTS…? Before that, all animals were equal, and everyone think their life without human was full of happiness. However, the situation getting worse.      Did you guys finish reading “Animal Farm”??
