A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Thank you for reading my blog this week. Today, I’d like to write about the story of A Christmas Carol. As you know this is written by Charles Dickens. We read Oliver Twist in this spring semester, so, some of you might be interested in other novels written by Charles Dickens. I chose this book because of that reason. The main role is old man, Scrooge. He is hated by many people, because there is nothing warm or open about him. In addition, he lives a secretive, lonely life, and takes no interest in other people at all. When his nephew visits him on Christmas Eve to wish him merry Christmas, Scrooge is not all pleased. Surprisingly, he says “Christmas is humbug!” However, that Christmas Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his long-dead partner, Jacob Marley. Marley tell Scrooge that his story after he died.
